Mother’s Day mini sessions rocked! I was worried because the forecast was rain…all day. But we gave it a shot anyway, and although there was no actual sun, there was no rain, either! Thanks so much to the eight sweet, funny, and gorgeous families who came out for mini sessions to celebrate their moms!
I think my favorite thing about mini sessions is how different they all are despite being in the same location on the same day. Every family is unique and has such a different vibe that every session feels brand new.
Check out some of my favorites from each session below!
Remember Blake’s newborn session last fall? Blake is a sweet, handsome 6-month-old now, and he brought his mom, dad, and grandma to celebrate Mother’s Day!
Next up was another absolutely gorgeous three-generation family. LOVE the colors and props they brought for their mini session (and LOVE that baby’s smile–what a charmer!).
Parker brought his mom and his grandma, too! Two weeks old and the. cutest. thing. 🙂 We did a (modified) combined newborn/Mother’s Day photo session to make sure his mama got some photos of him when he was brand new. 🙂
Afternoon sessions started with one of my favorite families. I’ve loved watching these girls grow (and having the honor of photographing them along the way!). Looking forward to more photo sessions with this lovely family!
Have I mentioned how much I *LOVE* when my oldest friends bring their kids to photo shoots? Yeah. So awesome. 🙂 Crissy brought her handsome boys, and they were great sports about letting me try out the “invisible black background” technique with them (and holding up pretty much anything we handed them). Love you guys!
Speaking of my favorite families…I’ve loved every photo session with these girls (as you can probably tell..they show up a lot in my marketing and promo photos!). They brought everything they needed for a tea party. Seriously, how gorgeous is this family?
Their session was actually two families’ sessions combined…we took a lot of photos of the girls together, but I thought I’d go ahead and give each family their own blog board, because I just couldn’t fit this much cute into just one. Look at these sweet girls (and their lovely mama) in their tea party dresses!
Next up was this beautiful family. Those kids have some energy! 🙂 I’d like to say I came up with these great poses for them, but they pretty much just found them themselves. So awesome. 🙂
The last session of the day was another one of my oldest friends, who has a baby I don’t see nearly enough. I did this sweet girl’s one-year-old photos last fall, and I couldn’t believe how big she’s gotten (and how much she’s talking)! Love the three generations, the purple, and the love in these photos.
Thanks again to all of the families who came out for Mother’s Day sessions! I had so much fun and can’t wait to do more mini sessions for Father’s Day!
